ABOUT TOGEPI & OUR DOGS

Welcome to Togepi Tibetan Terriers

We are a small successful kennel based in Blackpool, Lancashire with puppies occassionally available. 
All our dogs are DNA tested CLEAR for PLL & NCL, hip scored and eye tested anually. 
We are a Kennel Club approved Assured Breeder. 



We breed for excellent temperaments and health, and research breed lines/pedigrees thoroughly before considering a mating. 
All our dogs and puppies live in the house, they live in a loving enviroment where they are socialised with every day family life and sounds. . 

I Adam Ashby-Legg, have always admired the breed, and saw my first Tibetan Terrier at Crufts 1999,
I was so taken in by their character & temperament that I decided this was the breed for me.
I formed a partnership with Antonio Skaboullos which is when we decided to get our first Tibetan Terrier Annie
After 7 years of showing and breeding successfully we decided that we both wanted to follow different avenues and ventures.
Some of the dogs now live with me in Blackpool and some with Antonio under the Cloudbuster affix in South Lincolnshire.
 
I judge Tibetan Terriers and are on the "A3" lists of the Tibetan Terrier Association 
& Tibetan Terrier Breeder & Owners Club. I also judge all UtliIity & Toy Breeds
was until recently a Tibetan Terrier Welfare & Rescue Officer for the Tibetan Terrier Association. 
&  up until April 2010 was on the committee of Harrogate & District Canine Society, 
which I had to give up due to other committments.

The "TOGEPI" affix was granted by the Kennel Club in June 2001.

Annie (Khados Almost An Angel With Togepi), was our first Tibetan Terrier.
She was born on 17th October 1999 and was bred by Mr. & Mrs. Johnson (Khados).

After a few months we decided to get Annie a playmate. 
Our second Tibetan Terrier was Inca (Renvall's Vanity Fair At Togepi ShCM), bred by Val & Aimee Vernall (Renvall).
Inca was born 2nd June 2000.

After several months of showing Annie & Inca at Open & Championship level, we decided to purchase a dog puppy!
Figaro (Araki Looks Like Trouble At Togepi)  was born 12th December 2000 (Antonio's birthday).
He was bred by Ken Sinclair (Araki).

We mated Annie in the September of 2001 to Murphy (Cederaire To Smuve To Be Bita By Renvall),
Annie gave birth to 5 gorgeous puppies on the 22nd November 2001.
We decided to keep one of the puppies Evee (Togepi Miss Congeniality).

Odin (Alilah Ethan at Togepi ShCM) was our next arrival to the house of  Togepi, he was born 21st November 2002
He was bred by Pat Tempest (Alilah)

We decided to mate Figaro (Araki Looks Like Trouble at Togepi)
and Evee (Togepi Miss Congeniality) Evee had 5 gorgeous puppies born 2nd December 2003

We mated Odin to Annie in the January of 2004
Annie gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies born 26th March 2004.

In the October of 2004 we mated Evee to Owen (Eng/Lux/Ned Ch.Waterley Dressed to Impress)
Evee gave birth to 5 gorgeous puppies born 22nd December 2004
Also we mated Annie in the same month repeating the mating to Odin.
Annie gave birth to 2 wonderful puppies on the 26th December 2004

We decided to keep one of Evee's puppies Dasher (Togepi Spartan's Hero JW ShCM)

In July of 2005 we had a litter from Evee & Odin and decided to keep a little girl to join the House of Togepi...
Winnie (Togepi Wagamama)

Florence aka Flo (Waterley Kristel With Togepi) joined the house of Togepi in the January of 2006. 
 {she is out of Eng/Lux/Ned Ch. Waterley Dressed to Impress x Ch.Waterley Rather Risque}

In September of 2006 we had a repeat litter from Evee & Odin and decided to keep another little girl.....
Rosie (Togepi Yorshire Rose)

In January of 2007 Annie (Khados Almost An Angel With Togepi) gave birth to 3 gorgeous puppies
we decided to keep the little girl Alice (Togepi Always An Angel)

Sadly Annie died on the 19th January 2007, She will be greatly missed.... and always be in our hearts....

In January 2008 we decided to find Flo a new home, being as she didnt care much for the Show Ring, 
we felt she would be much happier in a Pet home, Flo is now very happy with her new owners and living in Suffolk.

We decided that being as this would be Evee's last litter that we would keep a puppy to stay at the house of Togepi ....
Ruby (Togepi Scarlet Ruby) who was born on the 25th August 2009,
Ruby is the daughter of Evee (Togepi Miss Congeniality) & Seth (Cloudbuster Megawoof).

In March 2010 Alice (Togepi Always An Angel) decided that she didn't like the Show Scene and would much rather enjoy 
a much quieter life living with new her owners in Cumbria.

Tanzi (Togepi Tanzanite Star) and Alfred (Togepi Crown Jewels) are our newest additions to the House of Togepi, 
they were born on the 28th November 2012,
Tanzi & Alfred are Ruby & Neil's (Khados Solitary Man JW ShCM) puppies.

Sadly with the passings of Dasher on the 21/05/2021, Rosie on the 16/07/2022, 
Ruby on the 25/01/2024 and Tanzi on the 04/03/2024 we have decided to take a break from the show circuit, 
and shall hopefully return with exciting news at the of 2024!

We are now looking forward to the years ahead of us....................

After a long break from the Dog Show scene....
We are pleased to announce our new kid on the block....
Leon (Renvall's Neon Leon) owned by Aimee & Val Vernall, Leon has now come to live at the House of Togepi
Leon was born on the 20th April 2024 

24th October 2024
On his debut show aged just 6 months and 4 days, Leon does us proud by winning 2nd in a class of 5 in Minor Puppy Dog 
at Midland Counties Championship Dog Show, under judge: Gavin Robertson.
Qualifying Leon for CRUFTS 2025! We are so proud of you Leon!
